The SVCA Varisty Baseball team is hosting a Valentines Parent's Night Out on Saturday, February 13, 2010. There will be moonbounces, food, movies and fun for ages 4 thru 6th grade. Cost is $20 for the first child and $10 for each additional child in the family. All proceeds will go to support the 2010 SVCA Varisty Baseball team.

Joe is a 1998 alumni of SVCA and an active member at SVBC with his children Hailey and Dakota. In 2003, Joe was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Over the past six years, Joe has struggled with his health, but has continued his easy-going spirit. While at UVA in December 2009, Joe was put on a short list for a heart transplant. His new heart didn’t come.

The students that are 10 and younger will be getting their second dose of the H1N1 vaccine on Thursday, February 4, at 8:30 in the library. Remember, if you have a child that is 4, they must have a parent present for this dose as well.

The Varsity Cheerleaders will be hosting a Father/Daughter Banquet on Friday, May 14 (was Feb 12) at 7 P.M. Dress is Semi-Formal to Formal. Tickets are $40 a couple, and $10 for each additional daughter. They can be purchased from Kay Combs in the Elementary Office or Kim Nicewarner in the Upper School Office.

Our first annual Health Fair will take place Tuesday, February 16 from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon in the gymnasium. This will run in conjunction with the Jump For Heart fundraiser. If you are available to come out that day, we would love to see you!
