know, the more you can do for God.” He wants this instilled in the
students as they put their mark on the world.

Education:
B.S. from West Virginia University in Physical Education and
Biology
M.A.R. from Liberty University
Teaching Experience:
He began his teaching career in 1967, and he came to teach at
SVCA in 1975. Spanning all of the years that he has taught, Mr.
Quinn has managed to coach Football, Wrestling, Track/Field, and
Volleyball. Currently, he is teaching 12th Grade
Religion which carries with it three college credits that transfer
for our students. This class encompasses Worldviews, New Testament
Survey, and Church History.
Personal and Professional Highlights:
He was in the Air Force for four years during Vietnam. He and
his wonderful wife worked in the camp ministry for fourteen years at
Fort Shenandoah. He loves to travel around the world on mission
trips. He won DAC Coach of the Year and managed to coach the
volleyball team to many championships. In addition to SVCA, he will
be heading up the Liberty Bible Institute for Shenandoah Valley
Baptist Church beginning in 2006.

When asked why he loves working at SVCA, Coach Combs stated that he
loves “Putting students in a position to win.”

Education:
Associate Degree from Lord Fairfax Community College in Business
B.S. in Elementary and Secondary Education from Shepherd College
M.S. in Counseling/Psychology from Liberty University
Teaching Experience:
He started his teaching career in 1975; he began teaching at
SVCA in 1977. At present, he teaches 9th and 10th
grade Bible. These classes cover issues like Proverbs, the Inner
Man, Basic Life Principles, and Heroes and Villains.
Personal and Professional Highlights:
He is a member of the James Wood Football Hall of Fame. He has
received DAC Coach of the Year for baseball two times, basketball
two times, and soccer two times. He has won 2 soccer NACA championships, and he has won 7
NACA basketball championships.

B.S. in Biblical Studies from Liberty University
M.A.R. in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University
M.R.E. in Counseling from Liberty University
Teaching Experience:
In 2002, Mr. Meier began teaching English as a Second Language
in South Korea. For the 2004/2005 school year, he coached Cross
Country and Track/Field at Liberty University. In 2005, he joined
the staff here at Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy as the Upper
School Principal. He also is the cross country coach, and he teaches
Bible for 8th and 11th grades.
Personal and Professional Highlights:
He grew up as a Missionary Kid in Austria. He assisted in the
camp ministry for four summers at Word of Life and River Valley
Ranch. He and his wife, Cristina, were married in July 2005. He has
received the following awards: 2nd place in the USA
Double Decathlon Track and Field Championship at Liberty University,
Most Improved in Cross Country at Liberty University, and Most
Inspirational for Track and Field at Liberty University.
