The purpose of the SVCA School Board is to provide Godly wisdom, council, and insight to the Superintendent of Schools while ensuring that the vision and mission as outlined in the founding documents of Shenandoah Valley Baptist Church are achieved. The Board is to act as one body empowered by the Senior Pastor. The School Board consists of 5 to 7 individuals, all of whom are members of Shenandoah Valley Baptist Church.
Kendra Brewer
Mrs. Kendra Brewer is married to Phil Brewer. Together they own Wilkins Shoe Center in Old Town Winchester. There, Kendra serves as the vice president and is active in the day-to-day operation of the business. Term ends July 2009.

Don Butler
Mr. Don Butler is married to Deborah Butler. Mr. Butler is also an elected member of the Frederick County School Board (2003-2007). He has a Bachelor’s in English from the University of Maryland. Term ends July 2010.

Jodie Cornwell
Mrs. Jodie Cornwell is married to Brian Cornwell. Mrs. Cornwell has a Bachelor’s degree in Family & Child Development from Virginia Tech. She is currently working on her Masters in Education from Old Dominion University. Term ends July 2008.

Jim Narron
Mr. Jim Narron is Chairman of the SVCA School Board. He is married to Ruth Narron. Mr. Narron has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from American University. He is Vice President of Progressive Nursing Staffers. Term ends July 2008.
His life verse is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Steve Pufnock
Mr. Steve Pufnock is married to Judy Pufnock. Mr. Pufnock is a Board Certified Radiologic Technologist. He is a member of the Virginia Society of Radiologic Technologists. Term ends July 2010.

Mr. Dave Walker is married to Caroline Walker. Mr. Walker has a Bachelor’s degree of Industrial Arts from Old Dominion University. He is a local builder. Term ends July 2009.
