SVCA’s elementary program uses the A Beka curriculum.  The following outline of subject material is presented according to the grade level your child is entering.  K3 through grade 6 use a traditional classroom approach with one teacher and selected curriculum.

Kindergarten (K3, K4, K5, AK5)

Primary/Elementary (1st – 4th)

Middle School (5th – 8th Grade)

High School (9th – 12th Grade)

  • Mathematics Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, & Consumer Math
  • English/LiteratureEnglish 9, English 10, English 11, English 12
  • SciencePhysical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics
  • History World History, American History, Government/Economics, Geography (AOP), Constitution (AOP), VA State History (AOP)
  • Physical Education/Health – 1 year with one semester of Health within the two year period. Students may receive no more than one Team Sports credit throughout grades 9-12
  • Bible All students at SVCA must attain one Bible credit for each year they attend.  These Bible credits come from our own prescribed Bible courses. Community service hours are a component of our Bible curriculum. Students will receive information concerning grade level requirements and criterion.
