| Shenandoah
Valley Christian Academy is known in its community for consistently
offering its students an academic environment that is Christ-centered teaching
the importance of biblically-based values and morals that allow each
student to impact their world.
Established
in 1976, Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy was formed to provide
an educational outreach ministry for
Shenandoah Valley Baptist Church.
The academy opened with 53 students, from kindergarten through twelfth
grades, and grew to 72 students by year end. In its first year of
operation, five full-time faculty served this student base.
Since
the first graduating class of one student in 1977 to the largest
graduating of 45 students in 2004, SVCA has impacted over 425 alumni
as they have left the halls of SVCA to serve God in today's world.
Today, SVCA has become a second-generation school, as many of its
alumni have enrolled their children into SVCA.
SVCA
has been successful as a Christian school because its commitment
to represent Christ in all that it does. This flows from the administration
through the faculty and staff to the students and their families.
Its continued success will rely on the constant recognition that
SVCA is because God has allowed it.
