School and Home Instruction Program (SHIP) Print

SHIP exists to assist and support home-schooling parents as they educate their middle and high school students.

Students in grades 7-12 can enroll in 1, 2, or 3 classes at SVCA and do not desire the oversight of SVCA for the remainder of their courses.

Option 2: Diploma SHIP
Students in grades 9-12 who desire a diploma from SVCA and academic oversight which includes portfolio reviews.
 

There are many benefits for both SHIP and Diploma SHIP students. Some of them include:
• Assistance in evaluating curriculum
• Assistance in plotting a high school education plan
• PLAN/PSAT testing opportunities
• College counseling
• College entrance examination preparation at a reduced price
• Athletic participation in SVCA’s sports programs provided that two classes are taken at SVCA
• Field trips
• School photos
• Chapels
• Senior trips
• Participation in SVCA’s graduation ceremony

Diploma SHIP students have these additional benefits:
• High School Diploma
• School Transcript
• Official cumulative school records
• Free PLAN/PSAT testing
• Students can participate in one fine arts class at no additional charge
